Wilson County Public Library

Wilson, NC

Sited in downtown Wilson, designs required extensive renovations that included removing an exterior load bearing wall and numerous interior walls to create a large open area for reading and stack space. Renovations also addressed building repairs and stabilization. The Main Level of the addition features an expanded Circulation Desk, Circulation Offices and an Assembly Room seating 100. A centrally located open circular stair was used to lead patrons to services on the second level. The Second Level houses the new Children’s Area with dedicated Story Time area and Children’s Administrative Offices. The basement level was converted into Administrative and Technical Services areas.
