St. Mark’s Lutheran Church

China Grove, NC

St Mark’s came to RBSA for help to design and plan for the gift of a new organ. This renovation project updated and modified the existing church chancel area and incorporating adjoining spaces behind the chancel area to accommodate the installation of a new pipe organ. RBSA also traveled with St. Mark’s to see the custom pipe organ being built by C.B. Fisk, Inc. in Gloucester, MA. Work included enlarging the chancel area, modifying and adding millwork, providing for handicap accessibility to the new platform and supporting the new organ both structurally and mechanically. Mechanical ductwork supplying the Sanctuary was reconfigured around the organ chamber.
