RAMSAY BURGIN SMITH began the Salisbury Fire Department projects with a City-Wide analysis of all Five Stations with respect to their locations and response times. RBSA provided schematic evaluations of 3 possible sites and helped to determine the positives and negatives of each site with City Staff as well as, Community involvement. This Five Apparatus Bay Fire Station is designed as a state-of-the-art Training Facility with 4 Story Hose Tower, Interior Training Wall, Confined Space and Maze Training, 2-Ton Crane, Vehicular Exhaust System, Sleeping Quarters for 10 Fire Personal, Tiered Conference Training Room, Fitness Room and Smoke Detox Unit. The 6.2 Acre site allows for a large tarmac to include zip line and ladder training, testing props, apparatus wash down and storage pumper testing tanks and equipment. This “Essential Structure” was completed in January 2021.
