City of Monroe – Energy Services Building - Addition & Renovation

Lexington, NC

Project included renovation of an existing warehouse into the headquarters for the city’s electric and gas utility departments; construction of two support facilities and 9+ acres of sitework. The existing warehouse envelope was given additional insulation to ensure the Energy Services building would be an energy-efficient office building. The two support facilities are pre-engineered buildings that serve as a Weld Shop/Tool Storage and Garage Parking for the Energy Services fleet of vehicles. Approximately 5 acres of the site has lay-down storage over a reclaimed/former landfill.
