Barber Junction Historic Train Depot
Spencer, NC

Barber Junction Depot, originally built in 1886, was relocated to the NC Transportation Museum and renovated for use as an information and train boarding station. A matching building was added to address public restroom needs. Boardwalk style wood decks and ramps were added to tie the two buildings together, provide handicapped access, and provide patron loading on the rides touring the Museum Campus. Completed in 1997 for $284, 620.
