Renovation and restoration of the historic Rowan County Post Office and Federal Courthouse built in 1910 and located in downtown Salisbury. The work included cleaning and sealing exterior marble and brick surfaces; asbestos and lead abatement within the entire structure; reroofing; miscellaneous sitework including installation of brick paver sidewalks; restoration of intricate wood millwork and compatible detailing. Adaptive reuse was made of the four floors for use as the Administrative offices and Commissioners meeting room for Rowan County. This four-story, 37,976 sq. ft. facility was completed in March 1996 at a cost of approximately 2.8 million dollars.
